About Bryan

It's not our hobby, it's our life.

That was pretty much our business plan when we began back in 1993. That, and "Be nice, and do what you say you're going to do." The owner is your photographer and no one invests more than the owner. In the words of Tony Stark in Iron Man: "It's worked out pretty well so far." Unlike many photographers who only document your child's likeness, Bryan sees your family and children with the sensitive eyes of an artist and the heart of a Daddy. He always strives to reveal more than what you see at first glance. Images that you want to look at every day, for the rest of your life. Bryan has viewed the world through a camera lens since the age of 12, when his father gave him a Minolta 35mm camera. His destiny was clear when his first roll of film produced several photographs that won Junior High ribbons. In high school and college, Bryan worked for a nearby photography studio, shooting weddings. While this was excellent technical training, Bryan had a greater vision for his future. Using his degree in Fine Art to explore other artistic mediums, Bryan and his wife, Blayne, opened Whitelake Studio in 1993, where his unique style of photography has become increasingly in demand. His work has won numerous awards given by the most respected professionals in the country at state, regional, and national levels, including many of the coveted Kodak Gallery and Fuji Masterpiece Awards. Since beginning to compete in 1999, his work is consistently honored in the National Loan Collection, the ASP traveling Loan Collection (which is viewed across the nation) and has been displayed by Kodak at Disney’s Epcot. Bryan received both his Master of Photography Degree and Certification from PPA after only three years of competition and testing – an achievement some photographers cannot fulfill in a LIFEtime of work. We are very excited to be able to offer world class talent and he also remains one of only 2 Professionally Certified Photographers in North Georgia.
